Play Striker in Illegal Soccer

Your job is the honeycomb. Everything else is a delay.

Striker Playstyle

Striker is the default fantasy and the rarest real job. Everyone wants the spark on the magenta net. Few will leave the musket in slot 2 unused. This page is how to play Illegal Soccer as a finisher when chaos teammates are turning the mid circle into a range.

You need how to score open in another tab the first night. This page is identity; that page is geometry.

Kit

S pair from the loadout list: jet + grapple if you can. Else grapple + gun, gun used only to peel. Slot 1 is always movement. If both slots are guns you are not a striker, you are unemployed chaos.

Pips are for the box, not for a light tour. If you land from a jet with an empty bar, you are a header waiting to be tackled.

With the ball

  • Receive on the half-turn, not with your back to a desert sniper ridge.
  • First thought is pass if a ring-matched body is ahead. Second thought is carry. Third thought is shot. Gun is fourth and usually wrong.
  • Finish far post. Center spark is a keeper’s dream.
  • If oil appears, do not be brave. Dump the ball wide, re-enter.

Without the ball

Stand on the last defender’s shoulder, not in your own box “helping.” Helping is how strikers farm tackles and forget the net. Show for the pass when chaos actually wins a gunfight. If chaos never wins one, you still cannot fix that by becoming fourth chaos — you will just watch 0–2 together.

Scan the timer. A long clock means you can wait for a clean cutback. A dying clock means one hoof at the honeycomb is better than a cinematic jet.

Map notes

Coastal: height is yours. Hang once per attack, not per touch. The cliff is out of play; land in the paint.
Desert: lights will silhouette you if you stand on rocks. Stay on the dirt arc. The net looks closer than it is.

Anti-jobs

You lose to oil in your own dribble and to guns on straight rails. Read survive. You lose to a real keeper who oils the arc; then you need the cutback, not a harder shot.

You lose to yourself when you emote after the spark. Reset.

Chat script

“striker, need one pass” is enough. Do not write a novel. If two people typed striker, one of you becomes flex. Two strikers is healthy. Three is a crowd at the far post and a vacant mid.

A ninety-second warm-up before the first shot

Stand in the lobby and decide which post you will attack on this map. Coastal: the post away from the cliff they love to hang from. Desert: the post away from the hanging lights that silhouette you. Say it in your head. Then, in the first minute, do not shoot. Touch twice, pass once, arrive at that post. If you skip the warm-up you will hoof at the spark like everyone else in the trailer comment section.

If a chaos teammate steals your first three balls, do not swap kits. Show shorter. The job is a timer profession, not a first-touch profession. Play the full match even if the first three shots die. The fourth is why you queued.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for codes, gadgets, and chaotic matches.

Should strikers carry a gun?

Only in slot 2 as peel. If you click bullets more than kicks, you swapped jobs.

What if my team never passes?

Show shorter, call once, then collect rebounds. Do not all-chat a speech during the timer.

Best map for strikers?

Coastal height helps jets. Desert requires more ground carries. Grapple is good on both.

How do I practice finishing?

One public match touching only the ball. Next match, one gadget to create the shot. Then mix.
