How to Score in Illegal Soccer
Put the ball in the neon honeycomb — even when the box is a firefight.
Scoring in Illegal Soccer is a 3D geometry problem with extra bullets. The net is bright on purpose: magenta honeycomb on the desert map, loud red on the coast. Everyone sees it. Everyone also has a gun. This page is how you still finish.
If you cannot dribble for five seconds, go back to how to play. This is the finishing class, not the onboarding.
The box is smaller than your ego
Official footage shows a standard penalty area painted on dirt or turf. The keeper who lives on that line is the real boss, not the striker with a jetpack. Your first look should be: is the keeper on the ground or in the air? Jet keepers miss low balls. Ground keepers miss the floated cross that a teammate grappled into.
Do not shoot from the mid circle because a trailer made it look close. The canyon map lies with perspective. Carry to the arc, then pick a corner of the honeycomb, not the center spark.
Three finishes that work under fire
- Low far post. Walk the ball off a ring-matched teammate at the top of the box. One touch wide. Shoot while the chaos player is still aiming at your last position. Works on both maps.
- Cutback. Draw the keeper with a jet fake toward near post, pass back to the trailing striker. Guns track the jet, not the pass.
- Rebound poke. Shoot to force the honeycomb save, then be first to the bounce. No referees means you can immediately barge the keeper. That is ugly and it is the game.
The striker playstyle lives on 1 and 2. The chaos kit is allowed to create the rebound by shooting the keeper, not the ball — then someone else must poke. If chaos also tries to finish, you get two people watching the net and zero people collecting.
Gadgets that help a shot
- Grapple — enter the box from an angle a slide cannot cover. Do not grapple into the keeper’s chest unless you want a highlight death.
- Jetpack — hang for a header or a drop shot. Spend pips on the hang, not the tourist fly-by.
- Gun — delete the last defender, then switch back to the ball. If you keep the gun in hand, you will click a bullet at the net and feel stupid.
- Oil — dump on the keeper’s dive line, then shoot the opposite post.
Rank these on the gadget tier. For pure scoring, movement gadgets beat extra guns.
What to do when you are 0–2
The HUD will mock you. Do not all-in jets. Win one boring goal: pass, box, far post. Then steal a second with a gadget. Comeback rounds are lost by panic musket lines across midfield.
Glance at the timer. A 3:54 clip from official footage is a lot of remaining soccer. A 0:20 leftover is a hoof or a foul (there is no foul — a tackle).
Practice without a custom tool
Public servers are the tool. Spend one match touching only the ball. Spend the next match using one gadget to create a shot. Mixing both before you can finish is how you become content for the enemy survival guide.
Finishing checklist
- Far post over center spark.
- Know keeper height before the touch.
- Switch off the gun to kick.
- Teammate crash for the rebound.
- Reset after the celebration spark.
Score is the only stat the round cares about. Fill it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, gadgets, and chaotic matches.
Should I shoot from midfield?
Almost never. Carry to the arc. The desert camera makes the net look closer than it is.
Can I score with a gun?
Guns stop people, not the ball. Switch to a kick for the finish unless you are clearing a keeper, then poke the rebound.
How do I beat a jetpack keeper?
Go low and far post, or cut back to a grounded teammate. Do not match their height.
Is heading in the game?
Jump and aerial gadgets exist. Use them on floated balls; do not jump into a musket for a highlight.
